Experience

Having started her career as a speech pathologist with a passion for facilitating the communication skills in others, her career has involved direct experience as both a clinician and supervisor at the coal front of health service delivery followed by a decade in academia as a researcher and educator in the field of human communication science. For the past 22 years and with a passion for promoting workplace health and wellbeing, she has been involved in the design and delivery of leadership development and personal effectiveness programs that specialise in developing the communication and self-management capabilities needed for successful leadership, organisational resilience and personal well-being both with her own direct clients and on behalf of organisations such as the Australian Institute of Management, The Australian Medical Association, LIW, and several universities including RMIT and Swinburne University in their provision of ongoing services to corporate clients.

Coaching Approach

Over the past 12 years, she has developed her executive coaching services to include both face to face and virtual delivery, more recently via a number of digital coaching platforms and within this role has supported organisations and their leaders in fast tracking the development of the leadership skills needed to navigate the challenges facing contemporary workplaces encompassing aspects such as executive presence, communication and influence, cognitive and emotional agility, empathy and compassion, resilience, stress management and empowering and motivating others. In doing this she partners with clients utilizing a coaching approach that is customised to the individual and informed by evidence-based frameworks and techniques including behavioral and neuroscience-based principles, ACT, cognitive behavioral coaching, positive psychology, and mindfulness. Using a person centered, strengths based, and solutions focused approach she assists her clients in gaining self-awareness around current issues, formulating, and clarifying their goals, and facilitating them in generating strategies and implementing action experiments to help them achieve those goals.
