Experience
Joanna’s interest in coaching and supervision emerged from work with leaders who sought out spaces where they could deeply and intentionally reflect on their complex worlds in a safe and confidential space. Prior to consulting, Joanna worked in academia and commercial research business, work which informs my practice such as in ensuring a solid evidence-base for consultancy recommendations and allowing for methodical reviews of programs in support of continuous improvements in efficacy and cost-efficiency. She uses her expertise to support teams to execute projects, thinking at both strategic and operational levels to effectively implement change and have a particular flair for understanding people to facilitate effective communication.
Coaching Approach
Joanna has a wide and varied academic and work history which informs the way she works. For the past decade, Joanna has worked in Central Australia as a management consultant with a diverse range of non- government organisations, including non-profits, and Aboriginal-controlled organisations. This has deeply informed her approach to work through an understanding of context, including the importance of trauma informed and culturally safe practice.
