Experience
Supporting executives and managers to unleash their leadership potential, whilst retaining authenticity, is what inspires Michael as a coach. Throughout their development process, he encourages leaders to stay curious, increase their own resourcefulness and take some risks without compromising ‘who’ they really are. Michael has coached directors, partners, executives and managers in the IT, financial services, insurance, food, retail, aged care, and legal sectors. His specialty is in leadership development of executives based in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. He was also contracted by PLUMA as a remote executive coach for their Fortune 500 clients such as ADOBE, S&P GLOBAL and BIOMARIN in the Asia Pacific region.
Coaching Approach
As a coach, he draws on his corporate experience from the food and chemicals industries, in companies such as Bayer, Orica and Fonterra. Michael has led and managed across a broad range of functional areas including operations, sales, marketing, and regional management. Michael is also passionate in Not-For-Profit missions where he runs character-building adventures for men and women. Michael draws on the principles of authentic leadership to guide coaching discussions. He uses his own experience to empathise with clients while supporting them as a sounding board; challenging, cheering them on and keeping them accountable. He is accredited in 360 and DiSC Profiling Tools (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance).
