With over 18 years’ experience in the Education and Vocational Education sector, Penny is passionate Learning and Development professional who has worked across industries to up-skill, develop and improve individuals and businesses to enable sustained and measurable improvements. She has a strong interest in working with individuals and organisations to build leadership capability. She enjoys facilitating and gets energy from a room of people who are engaged in the learning process. Penny has worked across a range of industries namely, education, manufacturing, RTO’s, and corporate sector and have had the privilege of contributing to a range of medium to large organisations such as News Corp, Fletcher Building Group, Sabco, Parmalat, Cryovac Sealed Air.

Experience

Her experience includes overseeing, reviewing, and providing consultative advice on the implementation of learning and development programs to ensure alignment with organisational goals. She has excellent key stakeholder management experience, high level written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated experience with the full cycle of learning and development, planning, design, and delivery. She reviews Nationally Accredited qualifications and non-accredited courses for continuous improvement, frontline leadership, change management, highly developed organisation skills, and coordinating site wide training needs analysis, plans and all activities related to the implementation of learning and development programs. She has an in depth understanding of the adult learner and the key drivers impacting successful implementation of training programs Penny is also passionate about the women’s advocacy movement and have been an active volunteer for White Ribbon Australia for over 3 years.

Penny’s strengths are in her ability to coach leaders to develop self-awareness and therefore improve the quality of relationships within teams. She also has solid experience in the development and implementation of learning strategies aimed at creating positive cultural change. She believes in justice, equality, and fairness, this is what drives her to make a difference to individuals, organisations and the community to achieve gender equality. She is warm and approachable, bringing a contextualised sense of humor and fun to relationships and teams. She is professional, authentic, and highly ethical, always operating from a place of integrity. She is a firm believer in walking the talk. She is self-aware, reflects on her own behavior and aim to bring her best self to the table.
