He has spent 20 years in leadership roles across Human Resources (Learning; Organisation Development; Assessment Centres; Recruitment and Selection) as well as in line management, exiting with the role of Executive General Management responsible for Superannuation, New Business and Operations.

Experience
Rod has conducted executive coaching since 2015. The sessions are tailored to the individual’s specific needs and circumstances, with the overall goal of fostering personal growth, improving leadership capabilities, and maximising professional effectiveness.
Rod has coached and trained extensively in Federal, State and Local spheres of Government Administration (in South Africa) at middle and senior levels. He has coached over 180 individuals to cope and recover from the shock of retrenchment and find new and fulfilling roles after organisational restructuring. He has researched, published, addressed conferences, and trained over 2500 people in 12 countries on 4 continents with the tools to enhance their personal resilience. He is the published author of “Building Resilience”, which is used by MBA students and businesspeople alike.
Coaching Approach
Accredited as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coaching Federation, logging over 1100 coaching hours spanning a variety of industries and people ethnicities. He does mental health coaching using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) evidence-based tools.
