Accessibility statement

ASPL Group wants everyone who visits our website to be able to find, use, and understand our content, regardless of their technology, background, or access needs. Accessibility sits alongside psychological safety and inclusion as a core part of how we design and deliver our services.

Our commitment

We commit to working towards compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for the main ASPL website.

This means we design and build our site so that it is:

Perceivable
information and user interface components are presented in ways people can recognise and use
Operable
users can navigate and interact with the site using different inputs, including keyboard only
Understandable
content and interfaces are as clear and consistent as possible
Robust
content works with a range of browsers and assistive technologies

How we build accessible experiences

Our digital team owns accessibility for the ASPL website and works closely with our development partner, The Project Factory, to embed accessibility into our digital website.

The website includes:

  • Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Screen reader compatible structure, including correct use of headings, labels, landmarks and ARIA attributes where needed
  • Captions and or transcripts for all videos
  • The ability to pause or stop any moving or auto-playing content

We continue to review content and design decisions so that the site remains usable for people with different access needs, including people who use assistive technologies.

Accessible psychology and coaching appointments

Our digital team owns accessibility for the ASPL website and works closely with our development partner, The Project Factory, to embed accessibility into our digital website.

When you book an appointment online, you can use the booking settings to tell us about any specific needs or adjustments you require. For example, you can request:

  • Longer or shorter sessions
  • Telehealth or phone instead of in person
  • A support person to attend with you
  • Adjustments to the environment where possible, such as reduced noise or fewer visual distractions
  • Extra time at the start of the session to get oriented or regulate
  • Send notes at the end of session to help you remember any focus areas

Your psychologist or coach will review these settings before your appointment and will do their best to accommodate your needs within the limits of the service.

If you cannot use the online booking form or if it does not meet your access needs, you can contact us by email and we will help you arrange an appointment and discuss reasonable adjustments.

Where we are improving

Some content on the website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. For example, older documents and pages may need improvements to structure, labelling, or alternatives.

We treat accessibility as an ongoing process and prioritise updates to content that people need for safety, wellbeing, tenders, and service access.

Alternative formats

If you find any part of our website difficult to access, we can provide information in alternative formats where reasonable. This may include:

Plain HTML versions of documents
Audio versions of key documents or pages on request

If you need content in another format, contact us and tell us which page or document you were using and how we can best support you.

Feedback and contact

We welcome feedback about the accessibility and usability of our website

If you experience a barrier or want to suggest an improvement, please contact us:

📧 Email: executiveoffice@aspl.net.au

If possible, include:
  • The web address (URL) of the page
  • The device, browser, and any assistive technology you are using
  • A brief description of the problem

We will review your message and respond as soon as we can, including letting you know what steps we can take.

Third party content

Our website sometimes links to content or platforms that other organisations manage. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of these third party sites, but we aim to work with partners who share our commitment to inclusion and to provide alternatives where possible.

Review of this statement

We review this accessibility statement regularly as our website evolves, our services expand, and standards change. Our goal is to continually improve accessibility so more people can engage with our work.
