Australians are “quiet quitting” work. Here’s what that means

Have you heard of the term quiet quitting? The idea is “you’re not outright quitting your job, but you’re quitting the idea of going above and beyond,”. Essentially, quiet quitting means meeting the expectations of a job, although being unwilling to overperform or advance in your career.

ASPL Group’s CEO Kris Grant shares with SmartCompany, that given the labour and skills shortage across Australia, organisations are approving pay rises and working from home structures, despite employee motivation, to retain their staff. Workplaces should expect a higher remuneration trend to continue well into 2023.
